About this tool

What Asset Allocation Calculator & Visualizer does

The Pineify Monte Carlo Portfolio Simulator lets users model retirement and portfolio outcomes by running thousands of statistical simulations. You input your current portfolio value, annual contributions or withdrawals, time horizon, inflation rate, and asset allocation (expected return and volatility). The tool outputs a probability distribution showing the likelihood your portfolio will survive the chosen timeframe, along with visual charts of the efficient frontier and Monte Carlo result paths. It is designed for anyone planning retirement or testing how different savings and spending strategies affect long-term financial security.

Questions

Asset Allocation Calculator & Visualizer FAQ

How many simulations should I run for reliable results?
The tool offers 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, or 25,000 simulations; more simulations produce a smoother probability distribution but take longer to compute, with 5,000 often providing a good balance of speed and detail for retirement planning.
Can I include inflation in the simulation?
Yes, the tool has an Expected Inflation (%) field; you can also set withdrawals in today's dollars, and the results are inflation-adjusted to show real purchasing power over your chosen time horizon.
What does the efficient frontier chart show?
The efficient frontier visualization plots portfolios by expected return against volatility, highlighting the set of optimal portfolios that offer the highest expected return for a defined level of risk according to Modern Portfolio Theory.
Is my portfolio data stored or shared when I use this tool?
The simulator is free and requires no registration; all inputs are processed locally within the browser and no personal or portfolio data is stored or shared by the Pineify site.
